Tattooing is more than creating an image—it’s creating something that becomes part of a person’s story.
My name is Joshua Jasiah, and I’m a Buffalo-based tattoo artist specializing in high-contrast black & grey realism, blackwork, and lettering.
My approach is built around strong composition, contrast, and creating artwork that fits the natural flow of the body. Rather than copying references directly, I use them as inspiration to develop custom designs that are created specifically for each client, placement, and project.
Before tattooing, I developed my artistic foundation through mediums such as graphite, charcoal, and oil painting. Those influences continue to shape the way I approach texture, depth, lighting, and storytelling within my tattoo work.
I’m especially drawn to large-scale and meaningful projects that allow for creative freedom. My goal is not only to create a visually powerful tattoo, but to create something that feels intentional, personal, and built to age well.
Outside of tattooing, I’m a fiancé, a father, and someone who has always felt most grounded while creating. My family is a major part of what drives me to continue growing - not only as an artist, but as a person.
Tattooing has given me more than a career. It has challenged me, shaped my discipline, introduced me to incredible people, and allowed me to build a life through something I genuinely care about. I try to bring that same level of intention into every project I take on.
I believe clients can feel when an artist is truly invested in the work. For me, every tattoo is an opportunity to create something meaningful, push myself creatively, and give more to the craft than I take from it.

I believe the strongest tattoos are created through trust and collaboration. Clients provide the meaning, inspiration, and direction, while allowing me the creative freedom to determine the composition and execution that will work best on the body.
Every project is approached individually. Consideration is given to placement, anatomy, contrast, readability, and how the tattoo will settle into the skin over time.
